9to5 mac was born out of Seth Weintraub's Paris apartment in 2007 during the announcement and launch of the iPhone. Mr. Weintraub was on leave from his job in Mac IT development while his wife was given a scholarship to study in France. Weintraub retired in 2011 and 9to5 became his full-time career luck As editor of the magazine, he launched 9to5Toys.com and 9to5Google.com and continued to enhance them by adding editors and reporters. Electrek.co was added in 2013 and DroneDJ.com was launched in 2017. SpaceExplored.com, ConnecttheWatts.com, and Blocktalk.co were launched in 2020. All sites are wholly owned by Seth Weintraub through his 925, LLC company.
