Madonna fell backwards from her chair during a concert in Seattle over the weekend, but she recovered like a champ.
As seen in several videos shared on social media, Her Majesty, 65, hit one of her dancers while skating the pop superstar on stage at the Climate Pledge Arena. The man appeared to have tripped and fell while performing his 1986 hit song “Open Your Heart.”
Madonna quickly lied down on her stomach and continued singing, laughing off the accident. Then she stood up to finish her number.
Fans took to social media to share their reactions to the “Music” singer's showmanship with an obvious sense of humor.
“@Madonna had a little tumble on stage tonight in Seattle. She was good about it. Great show.” someone wrote to X.
Another woman wrote on Instagram: “Queen behavior. Nothing can hold back Madonna!”
This isn't the first time the Grammy winner has overcome an on-stage fiasco. At the 2015 Brit Awards, she fell down the stairs during an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction involving her long flowing cape while performing her single Living for Love.
“Armani attracted me! My beautiful cloak was tied too tightly!” she said afterward, according to Vanity Fair. “But nothing stopped me and love really lifted me up! Thank you for the good wishes! I'm fine!”
Madonna's next stop on her Celebration Tour is scheduled for Thursday at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This spectacle encapsulates Material Girl's entire 40-year career, highlighting every album and era.
Last summer, Madonna spent several days in the ICU due to a severe bacterial infection, so the tour almost didn't happen. As a result, she was forced to postpone her North American tour.
“It's a miracle I'm alive,” she said during a December visit to Brooklyn's Barclays Center, according to USA Today. “I feel like I'm one of the lucky ones. …Let's just be grateful.”
The Celebration Tour concludes April 26th in Mexico City.
