There will be more people in town than usual, but organizations are accustomed to planning events such as the world's shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade and a big race at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort. Solder said.
“They're very good,” he said. “They move around people for the St. Patrick's Day parade and they move around people all the time in Oak Lawn. They're really good at that. We're in good hands. . Leave it to them. They have a plan, and they're going to continue to plan and plan leading up to the event.”
From the special Bridge Street Live event on April 4th to events at Ron Coleman Mining, Mill Creek Music Farm, Cedar Glaze Park, Majestic Park and Girvan, Mr. Solder said: He said there are many events that will help encourage people to visit Hot Springs for the eclipse. Woodland Gardens, Oak Lawn, Mid-America Science Museum.
The Bridge Street LIVE event will also feature presentations by NASA scientists.
“NASA is coming to Hot Springs. On Thursday at Bridge Street Live, NASA will give three free presentations on Bridge Street Live at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. , they will set up a special tent further away from the stage. “What we really want to study while they're here is the sounds of the solar eclipse, what happens when it gets dark, what the animals do, and the sounds of celestial events, especially the long-tailed bat. Hot here It's in Springs.”
Many online booking sites say there are no rooms available for eclipse weekend, but Solder said that's not true.
“Hotels are booked, but they are not fully booked yet,” he said. “And here's the simple question of what's going on. If you go to booking.com or the site or the hotel's site and try to book on Sunday and Monday, it says 'No rooms available.' will be done. Everywhere you look, everywhere you look, except for Oaklawn, which does a really great job.
“The problem is that all hotels have a minimum length of stay (3, 4, 5 nights), but the automated message sent by the booking platform says there are no rooms available. '' he said.
“So, even though it looks like we're sold out, we're not sold out. So if you have friends or family coming over, tell them to call the hotel. Maybe they can get you a better deal in less time.” “You will stay.” “
