AKRON, Ohio – Roderick L. Ingram Sr. is Akron Children's' new vice president of marketing and communications.
Ingram most recently served as vice president for communications and chief marketing officer at Northeast Ohio Medical University. In this role, he developed programs to enhance the university's reputation and strengthen internal and external communications while serving as a strategic marketing and communications advisor to the president, university board, and members of the leadership team. He also led the development of all his marketing and communications initiatives with his partners, including the creation of new co-brands and joint ventures with University Hospitals and Bounce His Innovation Hub.
Prior to joining NEOMED, Ingram held executive positions at Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Business, the Ohio Lottery, and WEWS-TV.
He earned a bachelor's degree in finance and an MBA from Cleveland State University.

Ingram is a 2021 graduate of Leadership Cleveland. He has served on several boards, including the Better Health Partnership, Team NEO Marketing Advisory Council, Press Club of Cleveland, and United Black Fund of Greater Cleveland. He recently completed his term as president of the Portage County United Way and currently serves on the boards of the Cleveland Arts Prize and Thrive Scholars.
Ingram lives in Orange Village with his wife Angela. They have three adult children.
