IABM announces next promotion darren whitehead Appointed director of sales and marketing department.
In his newly expanded role, Mr. Whitehead will be responsible for the strategy, activities and performance of all IABM sales, marketing and market development activities. Working closely with the CEO and other senior staff to develop a dynamic new strategy for the organization, Mr. Whitehead's brief includes harmonizing sales and marketing efforts and strengthening all communications. It is. Additionally, Mr. Whitehead will continue to coordinate the activities of the Regional Membership Council.
As part of his new brief, Mr Whitehead will also drive new initiatives to help IABM members do better business, which is the international trade body's raison d'être. As the broadcast and media technology market matures, IABM members increasingly look to neighboring markets, particularly the enterprise AV space, for growth opportunities. The enterprise AV sector is growing rapidly and using all the same technologies and tools that were previously dominated by broadcasters.
“I’m really excited to take on this new role,” says Whitehead. “IABM exists to help our members grow their businesses. This is true both within and outside of broadcast and media. It's about making sure our efforts are aligned with those of our members so that they resonate across the board.
“There are exciting opportunities for growth out there and we will focus on activities and services that introduce these new opportunities to our members. , new approaches and strategies are required to enter these markets. We have already started this by launching UpStream in collaboration with Avixa last year and opening a member lounge at ISE this year, and this year we will continue to do more. “We're supporting two UpStream events, and of course, in the meantime, we'll continue to support our members with a full range of services across the broadcast and media industry,” Whitehead concluded.
