Have you ever posted a video on TikTok that you think will be a big hit? If so, you could take home some cash if your video is original and engaging. TikTok launched its creator rewards program on Monday. The program rewards accounts that post high-quality videos that are at least one minute in length and meet certain criteria.
The program considers four criteria when evaluating videos: originality, watch time, viewer engagement, and search value.

To be original, your video must be unique and highlight a particular point of view or creative thought that resonates with TikTok viewers. Watch time measures how long it takes users to watch a video and how many people watch it to the end. In this regard, the program rewards accounts that provide clear and engaging videos, rather than those that saturate the platform with tons of content.
Viewer engagement looks at the number of likes, comments, and shares your video receives. Search Value analyzes videos in the context of popular search terms and praises those that match in-demand search topics.

The new program will automatically reward creators based on their community's ad watch time and the ad value of their account. To find out what kinds of videos appeal to your fellow TikTok users, check out our new Creator Search Insights tool, which reveals the most popular topics in searches.
To qualify for the Creator Rewards Program, you must be at least 18 years old, have at least 10,000 followers, and at least 100,000 views in the past 30 days. Your account must be in “good standing,” as TikTok says.
The program also provides a dashboard to help you track your videos. In addition to basic analytics and data, you'll find more in-depth ways to analyze video performance, eligible views, estimated rewards, and program eligibility.
Each video you upload has a page that shows you the number of views and RPM (verified revenue per 1,000 views) of your high-quality video. These pages also provide details about view trends and insights. Additionally, you can view your last payout and track your earnings.

TikTok also announced the Creator Academy learning hub, which offers courses, articles, and other resources to help you monetize your TikTok videos. TikTok says Creator Academy will replace Creator Portal and will be available through the Creator Center web app in the coming weeks.
Additionally, TikTok has improved the monetization module in Creator Tools, adding revenue analytics that reveal how creators are being compensated. You'll also find an overview of TikTok's monetization process and a series of case studies that showcase creators who have successfully taken advantage of the various features and tools.
The Creator Rewards Program debuted in beta last November as the Creativity Program. This program replaces the defunct Creator Fund. This Creator Fund was not popular with TikTok creators because the payout is fixed and does not increase as the number of hits for the video increases. The new program aims to make it easier for creators to earn additional payments by sharing longer videos.
